I had a previous Dyson and the belt was struggling. The engine head has a small silver cylinder on a bearing that should keep the belt tensioned. The tensioner broke and Dyson said they had no vacuum cleaner parts. I felt this part needed to make up for the lack of a tensioner and it does! This made my vacuum cleaner work as before.
