I first bought this ring light on Prime Day at an amazing bargain price and am very happy with it. The instructions are not clear but simple enough to understand how to use without them. I liked it so much that I bought a second one to give as a gift, the second one arrived defective/broken! The charging port was completely missing, so completely unusable. A rattling sound was also heard inside the lantern. I was so disappointed that I just sent it back without a replacement. This was probably just a bad phone I got, but if you look closely at mine it's not made out of durable materials, it's made out of plastic so it should be treated with care. Mine still works fine but I only use it occasionally. The different lighting options for tone and brightness are very nice, and I love that the grip allows for handheld or tabletop use. The remote works well too, but I don't use it much either. I mainly use this ring lamp as a table lamp with a laptop to zoom in on a few times a week. If you expect heavy daily use, you may need to purchase a higher quality mount. If you're looking for an affordable light with multiple lighting options and a handheld/desktop option for minimal use, this is a great choice.
