I was very surprised at the build quality of this monocular! It feels solid and all moving parts work properly. The optics are also exceptionally good, especially for something in this price range. It took me a few minutes to figure out how everything would line up with my iPhone X's camera lens, but once I did I was able to snap a few shots. some pretty impressive wildlife photos around my house. A good tripod (rather than the store-bought junk that comes with the kit) is essential to getting really sharp shots. I used my Apple Watch for the remote shutter release just to avoid 'jitter' on my part, but with enough available light I expect handheld shots will be possible. The lens caps fit well, and the hardware for attaching the phone to the monocular fits, if not quite perfectly. It tends to wobble slightly, causing the monocular camera lens to shift. This can be a little frustrating, but then again, a good tripod eliminates a lot of this problem. The photo of the squirrel I included in this review was taken through a glass window from about 20 feet away; I also took a few shots of objects on the beach - about 50 meters from my front door - and they came out amazingly clear too. All in all for the money I can't expect anything better than what this machine has to offer.
