If you liked my review, please click on the USEFUL button below. I only write reviews to help other Revain buyers. I am not reimbursed for products (I buy them with my own money like many of you) and I write what I experience to improve Revain reviews for all of us. I bought this for my BMW 08 335i E93 which was having constant audio glitches. My research led me to believe that the trunk mounted Sirius receiver was/was going bad. This is a VERY common problem on BMWs and many other vehicles with older Sirius modules. In short, the MOST network was "broken" due to the Sirius block failure/waiting for death. I had to purchase a fiber optic loop to bypass the dying device and keep the loop alive as the Sirius device was not passing its light/signal to the next part of the loop/device chain. I bought this RKX MOST loop hoping the BMW connector would fit easily. I was wrong, the BMW connector is proprietary in size and connector. However, with a very small and simple modification to this RKX loop, I was able to bypass the dying Sirius box and keep my light loop, which fixed my machine's error. sound problems. To mod this device and if you need to do the same to achieve your own success, here's what I did. Sorry I didn't take a photo, but here is the way and the solution: Using this female adapter, I cut off all four walls (sides) on the RKX connector, leaving only the base of the block, in the time that the base of two binoculars had forms. molded connectors. The base connects directly to the BMW MOST socket along with the two light tunnels/binoculars, ensuring that the RKX base fits perfectly into the BMW socket. After connecting/connecting each tunnel to the BMW connector, the MOST light circuit is then 'closed', allowing the light to continue in the loop to the next device in the chain. After connecting I checked the sound in my car and it was perfect again. Fully functional with no degradation or loss of sound. After making sure everything worked I used a zip tie to connect the female base unit (RKX) to the BMW connector and secured the zip tie between the BMW wiring harness and between the RKX loop. to ensure the zipper stays connected and the two pieces fit together. Gently press down on the zipper and then I carefully placed the new connection under or alongside the existing wires next to the Sirius box to make sure they don't rub or dangle. cause more errors. My machine is working properly again with no audio issues. I have never subscribed to Sirius and never will, so not listening to the radio means nothing to me. In any case, I use my AUX-connected phone to stream and play content. I hope this review is helpful to anyone having a similar audio issue. I combined my research from different websites and videos to create this tutorial post. For $14 I figured the dealer would charge me over $150 for a diagnosis and then how much they would charge to fix the problem. Create one here for the owner versus the dealer. It's nice to hit a cheap win every now and then.
