Wet my roll of film and it helped get a tight fit. The steel zip ties were useless, but that's okay, I just used zip ties to secure it. After installation, I hit it with a blowtorch for a little bit to burn off some fibers, and then let the kids go karting for half an hour. For a while it smoked and smelled rather unpleasant, but everything evaporated and now everything is fine. Our kart looks good and makes it a little safer from burns. We'll see if it holds up or breaks.
