Review on πŸ• Presto 85677 interchangeable Pizzazz pizza tray for replacement by David Ross

Revainrating 3 out of 5

You should probably buy this, but I still regret the price and the difficulty in keeping it clean.

May 2020 update - time for another new frying pan. And since that list is out of stock, I wanted to let you know that the Presto website is now selling replacement pots. Less expensive but around $8+ with shipping. So still not a good price but they seem affordable. ***** So this frying pan shouldn't cost that much. But, you know what? It's because it can be. Because if you have presto pizzazz, you're going to have to get yourself a new pan at some point (perhaps sooner rather than later); and it seems to be one of the few places you can get it. These pots need to be carefully maintained so they don't clog up quickly. I cleaned the first one after each use and it barely limped for another 1-1.5 years (definitely gross at the end). Even trying to use "tricks" to deep clean burnt oil doesn't seem to work with this tray - like the dryer sheet trick or baking soda/soap/peroxide/vinegar/etc. Soaking and scrubbing doesn't work. make a world of difference when it goes bad (and be careful if you try the latter, because after using a method that involves using dish soap and then scrubbing and rinsing as clean as possible, we ended up with island breeze frozen pizza- Taste. oops.. it came out after all). With this replacement tray, I instead took it upon myself to use a special hard scrubbing brush between each use to ensure any crevices in the pan are thoroughly cleaned in the hopes that this tray will last longer than the first. If you need one of these trays, you need one of these trays - you can't get them anywhere else. But make sure you clean it thoroughly so that you don't have to buy another one after a year. (And please don't listen to people who say you should only use the foil on the tray. There are specific instructions/precautions NOT to do this). It's well worth the effort in the end as the Presto Pizzaz is probably the most used electric kettle appliance in our kitchen and is good for many things, especially since the oven takes around 15 minutes just to heat up.
