Yes, this review category may be in the wrong area, but only partially. This Weller TL7 tip is used for the Weller WLC100 soldering station which is sold as a hobby item not a professional item. Pro models feature detachable cables and temperature control feedback to ensure a consistent temperature. Still, this is a great, if not the best, soldering iron an electronics hobbyist can get their hands on. I bought this TL7 conical tip (thin and sharp) because I find the included TL6 chisel tip is too large and cumbersome for all traditional electronics. Work - amateur and professional. This tip works great when the temperature dial is set to "2". When soldering a lead to the ground plane, I may need to temporarily increase the scale to "3" or "4".
