Used this on a 2000 Mazda Miata to replace an OEM coil with 119,000 miles on the clock. The engine shook when accelerating and this was especially bad on hot days when the engine was running for a while. Since, as others have pointed out, the OEM spool has a rubber/metal washer holding the bottom third bolt, I simply removed two coil packs from this new spool, bolted it to the old frame, and put it back in place. My hesitation problem has been solved and the machine definitely runs a lot smoother. Let's see what the future brings with longevity. Right now. I'm happy!
