This adapter came with a driver CD but the format was not compatible with my desktop computer, luckily my computer recognized the adapter without any problems. All you have to do once you are connected is select your wireless network and enter the password. So far this adapter has good signal quality, no signal loss at all and also recognizes my wifi extender which I am very impressed with for what I paid for. Some might say the key is better but trust me you want the best receiver and it gets the job done with no issues. I'll update in a month and see if it messes up like some reviews claim, meanwhile it's bumps. Do it. Update: After using it for a week I can say if you want a computer to download or stream games or videos don't get it, buy yourself 5G so the speed will meet your needs. I'm still happy with it since I only use it for web browsing and listening to music (which doesn't require high speed)
