In general, the purchase seemed to me to be successful. Disappointed with the fact that the picture is upside down, contrary to some of the reviews I've read. Both with a 90° angle and simply by looking straight ahead, reversed image. The spotting scope is very difficult to adjust and does not hold "zero" (not even with an inverted image). I've found that it's easier to straighten the telescope while looking straight through the tube (without lenses), and then use lenses of gradually increasing magnification to further point the telescope at the object of interest. I also bought a kit of filters and a few other lenses which I think are must haves. As for the stability of the tripod, with a higher magnification, you can't touch anything during viewing to get a clear picture without moving. As far as I can tell, the motion controls work decently. I saw Venus a few days ago. I had to use a blue or red filter or it looked like a blinding white speck. With a 4mm lens (maximum magnification), Venus was still small, but the planet's curve was still visible (the sun illuminates one side). It was nice to look at, but hard to keep track of. Also checks the moon, this telescope is great for that if you have a moon filter. I knew that at this price point there were limitations and I had to learn something to make the telescope easier to use. I just wish the pictures were right side up.
