Review on Papier D'Armenie Traditional Burning Papers - Authentic 1 Book of 12 Sheets: Discover the Timeless Art of Aromatic Purification by Sarah Cox

I've been using this Papier d'Arménie paper burner since the early 80's. The best is the one I got every time I visited France for many years. The one pictured below is the one I recently purchased and received from Revain. You can see both wrappers, but more importantly, the burning paper is very different. If it's legit, they've definitely changed the formula, and not for the better. This "paper" has apparently been used in France since the 1970s. And it was great. It is a pity. The new one is much thinner, has a waxy texture, burns even faster (you have to fold it like an accordion to burn it) and smells very, very "vanilla". It's just that, a strong vanilla flavor rather than the classic subtle flavors of vanilla and papier d'Armeni. And the smell goes away very quickly. If this is actually a real fragrance then this is a hoax. Another great product that should stay the way it was for many, many years.
