I bought this kettle to replace a previous kettle that eventually broke down. It's an elegant design so it would look great in our kitchen. It boils water well, which is important. I use it to boil a small amount of water (at least 16 ounces) for Aeropress coffee and I can pour a small stream for that. I use it to boil more water when cooking pasta as water boils much faster in a kettle than on our gas stove. until fully boiled. I was surprised how fascinating it is. There are a few things to watch out for: First, condensation will form on the glass, making it less beautiful after use. (You can rotate the water if you want, it will look prettier that way. I've done this sometimes, but I'm getting used to it.) Second, as another reviewer pointed out, you can't fully water. This is probably not a problem for most people. Third, the on/off button (the clear plastic lever under the handle) seems fragile, but I think it will work for our family.
