After cooking, there is a plastic chemical taste. You really smell a strong odor when you open the lid after cooking. Will ruin every cup of tea. some chemical leaching in water. There is a ledge on the inside of the kettle at the top that prevents the kettle from being completely emptied unless you tip the kettle over the sink and rock it.
