Our 15-year-old 41-inch Sony Grand Vega is still my favorite for its unrivaled internal speakers, but now I miss the brightness of yesteryear. I paid about $200 for each "real" lightbulb after the original lightbulb blew out in 2012 until I learned not to touch the lightbulb with my bare hands. I appreciate the cheap price of a replacement bulb, but as reviewers point out, it's flimsy. Next time I will take the recommended Philips, maybe before this lamp burns out. By the way, I had to add soundbars to our other new TVs to get the old Sony quality.
