Crashed my PSA-1. Not the PSA-1's fault as I grabbed it to keep it from falling and bent it at the hinge. That being said, this time I didn't want to spend as much time on a hand that has held me for 2 months. The problem is I have a Rode PodMic that weighs 2 pounds. When I looked at Revane here, I saw this hand. It looks similar and has a weight rating of 4 pounds. GREAT! Best of all, this is a fraction of the price of the PSA-1, backed by Revain's return policy. Pros: Ports, build quality, and durability are great. Wherever you place the mic, it stays in place until you deliberately move it. The threaded rod is long. Much longer than PSA-1 so your XLR cable won't restrict movement. I hated it in PSA-1. - Supports over 4lbs - PSA-1 is rated at 2.4lbs - Not too stiff to move with. PSA-1 is incredibly tough. It has the same channels through which cables can be routed. I don't know if it was intentional, but check out my photos. Grooves make cable routing so neat even with thicker cables like HOSA XLR. Cons: The table clamp could be more durable. Not bad, but PSA is wider - 5/8 male only. No 3/8 adapter or vice versa. The PSA-1 can do both with the included adapter. I don't have anything 3/8 so I'm fine with that but it might affect others. let's be honest What makes this hand good is that it's a direct copy of the PSA-1 but improved with more important things. I'm so glad I tried this hand mount.
