I first bought a $100 Blue Compass which is used quite often for podcasts and radio. It's a nice, shapely hand, but for some reason I just couldn't get it right. I think it was because the mic screws in the mount didn't have enough rotation/angle adjustment. I bought this hand expecting the worst and was very surprised. It's a very hard mode and seems to be durable. He had absolutely no problem holding my heavy Rode NT2-A microphone. I was able to set it up perfectly and I can even put it out…

Durable Arrow. I don't think it's exactly the same as the Rode PSA1.

I don't know everything about rods but I have these and a Rode PSA1. It's durable and definitely strong enough to hold any microphone. Just a few points of comparison: Microphone tilt and pan are controlled with a single screw on this artistic clip. Rotating the mic in this clip isn't smooth and you can't lock it in place like the PSA1. Also, since the pivot doesn't snap into place, it's more difficult to screw the mic mount into place (to be honest, the PSA1's screw and washer system isn't…

Wow. Better than PSA 1 in many ways.

Crashed my PSA-1. Not the PSA-1's fault as I grabbed it to keep it from falling and bent it at the hinge. That being said, this time I didn't want to spend as much time on a hand that has held me for 2 months. The problem is I have a Rode PodMic that weighs 2 pounds. When I looked at Revane here, I saw this hand. It looks similar and has a weight rating of 4 pounds. GREAT! Best of all, this is a fraction of the price of the PSA-1, backed by Revain's return policy. Pros: Ports, build quality…

If I tell you that I have no problem with this thing.

Yeti Blue user: I mean, no problem. Durable hard plastic clip. While I can see someone wanting to use a metal clip, I have no doubt that it will outlast the life of the mount itself. As someone who appreciates cable management, I have no problem setting it up. Velcro straps help organize the cables. Tip: Don't do it like I did originally and place the cable tie across the entire arm width, but in between. The connections are rigid, but that inspires confidence that it will last. long time and…

He holds his position very well.

After reading the reviews I took a chance. I'm very glad I did. I recorded with it for about a month and a half and had almost no problems. He holds his position very well. I use a fairly heavy Samson USB C01U condenser microphone with shock absorber and pop filter (only about 2 lbs) and it doesn't fall off at all for hours of recording. I couldn't be happier about it. It's pretty stiff out of the box so it needs a firm grip to get it in place, but I can position it just about anywhere and it…

This is an AMAZING mic boom.

Just so you know where I'm from, I replaced a cheap $13 Neweer mic boom with this one. I wanted a Rode PS1 (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001D7UYBO) or Blue Compass (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B078MLBGRM) mic arm, but they were a bit pricey. more than I wanted to spend. I figured they were all about the same, so I bought a cheap Neweer (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00DFUEZZI) which turned out to be very similar to any other I'd ever used. They were excellent at their jobs. Then I recently saw this…
