I have just over 30 inches of vertical wall space for a rack so I bought a 15U which indicates 30 inches high. I calculated that 15U would be 26-1/4" vertical, so 30" makes sense. I even double-checked the downloaded installation. manual and it showed 30 inches. To my surprise, however, it was 30-1/2 inches after assembly. This is a significant difference for me, but not for most of you. I sent it back and ordered 12U. It's all StarTech's fault, but Revain gets it right. I hope he survives. Returned as all corners of the box were damaged when received. Well made from heavy gauge steel including great parts. StarTech used heavy-duty hex cage nuts instead of threaded holes or weld nuts for assembly, but secured the back panel.
