Before I got this I found the 12u in the kit for about $20 more and almost kicked myself. I thought it was "flexible" because it doesn't have cross braces or load triangulation plates, but it's thick metal, very thick. It seems heavy but strong, like all exits. It says 200lbs on it and I imagine you could sit 200lbs fully extended on the outside edge - it will hold it no problem as long as it doesn't tear off the wall. I'm a bit glad I got it instead of a closed one so I get better airflow.

I have just over 30 inches of vertical wall space for a rack so I bought a 15U which indicates 30 inches high. I calculated that 15U would be 26-1/4" vertical, so 30" makes sense. I even double-checked the downloaded installation. manual and it showed 30 inches. To my surprise, however, it was 30-1/2 inches after assembly. This is a significant difference for me, but not for most of you. I sent it back and ordered 12U. It's all StarTech's fault, but Revain gets it right. I hope he survives…
