We ran the air conditioner less during the day to save energy, but we noticed mold spots appearing in our bathroom. First we tried a small Peltier dryer but that was useless so I went with the smallest one I could find with a compressor. I use a drain hose and run it 24/7 and it reliably collects about a gallon a day at 50-55% humidity, 75 degrees Fahrenheit. No more mold stains. The interface is clean and easy to use, and the brightness can be turned down at night. I'd say it can be as loud as a bathroom fan, but it's a white noise that's a bit soothing and I only notice it when it's on or off. The filter is easy to clean, simply wash in the sink, dry and reinsert. Considering the amount of water it collects, a drain hose is a must unless you intend to empty it multiple times a day.
