If I had known that the replacement was so quick, cheap and easy, I would have done it long ago. My hood pillars died many years ago. I only supported the hood or used a support. I think I asked the Infiniti techs how much it would cost to replace them if they died and it was $100 or more. And it didn't give me the opportunity to replace them. Big mistake, I think it took me longer to find a screwdriver and hood mount than to install them.
