Not as easy to install as described + some tips

The bidet works well so far and deserves five stars for that. However, I would like everyone to know that the installation described may not be as easy, as follows: 1- My feed line was hard chrome plated copper (which I prefer braided rubber), and to add the supplied tee (good quality), I had to add a new supply pipe in front of the tee. If you have a rubber braided stainless steel umbilical it is doubtful it will be resealed unless it is relatively new. It will also lose a lot of its original flexibility and I think you are taking a big risk if you try to reuse it. So you should expect to replace your existing utility line with a tee. 2- I had to buy a new toilet seat. My existing seat, while in good condition, was plastic and the bottom had a slight crease/protrusion around the hole (to reinforce the thin plastic). This kink caused the front of the seat to lift off the toilet a bit and also put some pressure on the top of the bidet. The wooden stick toilet seat is completely flat at the bottom and does not have these problems. 3- I recommend adding a non-return valve to the tee before it feeds the bidet hose provided; This way, if the bidet leaks or needs to be replaced in the future, you can close the extra valve and still be able to use the toilet.
