Works well with car chargers

Works well as a voltmeter, ammeter (for USB charging) and dual USB charger. The display is larger than most and easier to read. The display alternates between voltage and amperes on the USB port (if something is charging). Battery voltage can be viewed by turning the vehicle to the on position, but without starting it. Then you can see the alternator voltage after starting the car. It's a quick and easy way to monitor key aspects of your vehicle's electrical system. The blue LED display is difficult to read in daylight. It's not boring, the problem is that the surface is shiny and reflections of the sky in the window or things in the car obscure the numbers. You can shade it by hand, but I don't recommend doing it while driving. It comes with a sheet of instructions and specifications. However, you do not need instructions. It's pretty obvious how to use it. Fits well in the cigarette lighter. I had no problems with falling out. I'm sure it's different between car models. If you're having trouble, I suggest tightening the fit by wrapping some tape (or non-flammable tape) around the plastic part of the stock. Do not cover metal contacts. Just to be clear, this does NOT track the total current (amps) drawn from your vehicle's battery. To do this, you'll need something that connects to the car's battery cables. Monitors the output current (in amps) to attached USB devices.

Pros
  • ADVANCED CHARGING TECHNOLOGY: Two USB ports deliver 24W of power up to 4.8A or 2.4A per port. Easily charge your favorite mobile devices including iPad (max speed), iPhone (max speed), iPod, HTC, Galaxy, Blackberry, MP3 players, digital cameras, PDAs and cell phones.
