Battery heater that also charges, the safety of the product is questionable

Seems to charge normally, although for fast charging it seems slow. The big problem is that my batteries get very hot when charging, which significantly reduces their lifespan. The product description mentions "minimal heat" but I have other fast chargers that can charge at much cooler temperatures. Worse, the listing says the product is CE marked, but the product itself is not CE marked. It only has an FCC label and a circled BC. Neither of these labels relates to the safety of the product, the former simply means that it does not cause significant electromagnetic interference, the other relates to compliance with California energy efficiency standards. The listing also states RoHS compliance, which relates to the restriction of hazardous substances, but this mark is also not found on the product. Despite this, this mark represents only part of the product safety. Without the CE or UL marking, the consumer is forced to give the company full confidence in its safety, and in the event of a malfunction leading to significant damage, the company can probably not liable. Damage. The lack of safety guarantees, as well as the charging temperatures that are too high, do not reassure me when using this product. Fortunately for the seller, there are several alternatives with the same characteristics. I will only use this in emergencies with a USB solar panel and then only under close supervision.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Price piggy bank
