Convenient outdoor stove

Based on some reviews I was almost disappointed with this stove. Instead, I was pleasantly surprised. I made soup in a vacuum bag on top of an ice pack (pretty cold pretty much) with some thick slices of turkey. I followed the directions and after 20 minutes I was impressed with the hot soup. . So hot, in fact, that it almost burned my tongue. I was afraid to leave the heater in the container after cooking because it was still very hot and some comments suggested they might warp the plastic container if left on too long. (Though the instructions say you can use it to keep food warm for a long time.) My only concern is that there are already a few discolored spots on the bottom of the metal pot from the cooking process, which I think may get worse with use. Either way, it should be a good (but expensive) option for our camping and emergency needs when you can't or don't want to start a fire.

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • Only available in white
