Great for gouache

For a long time I preferred to use heat press illustration board for my finished work, but once I started using these boards I have a hard time using them again. Pros: - Archival quality. It's nice to know that my drawings will be kept on this board for many years and will still look beautiful.- SCRATCHOUT TECHNIQUE. In my opinion, this makes the drywall stand out from other surfaces because you can scratch it with ink or watercolor with a precision knife to reveal harsh white highlights that are otherwise difficult to achieve. - Gorgeous smooth surface. - Durable. I can safely carry my work to and from the classroom without worrying about it bending. It will not bend no matter how much water it has. When working with watercolour/gouache you don't have to worry about paper tension. I've used cardstock for years and for larger pieces, even heavy cardstock will buckle under the force of water unless stretched and pressed down. - Perfectly picks up gouache. The colors look so bold. Cons: - Difficult to erase the pencil unless you scratch it. - Gouache dries faster than I'm usually used to, but this decreases as more layers are added. - Appears slightly yellowish when scanned to a computer. This is now incredibly easy to fix in Photoshop, but I think it deserves a mention.
