I have moved to a small farm that is disconnected from wired internet. So I use a Sprint Hotspot modem, which provides the same Wi-Fi coverage throughout the house as the regular modems I had when I lived in the city. I wanted WIFI in the yard and outbuildings. I mounted the AC600 to a 3ft pole on the porch roof next to the office where I keep my Sprint modem. At this point I had 3 WiFi bars on my iPhone. The Sprint modem does not have an ethernet connection, so my connection from the modem to the AC600 had to be via WiFi. I bought a 50ft powered Ethernet cable to replace the 3ft cable that came with an AC600 order and used it to connect the AC600 to an outside outlet. feet in the opposite direction. I have stable 2 Stripes on my iPhone. I installed a range extender in each building and got 3 bars in each.
