I wish I knew about this sooner. They work very well! The stretch is very low, so the wheel stays secure when the belt is tightened. The velcro is more than strong enough to keep it in place. I've been using elastic cords for years and had to pull them taut to keep the front wheel from wobbling. Sometimes this required a creative use of the bungee. And I snapped a few bungee cords which thankfully didn't cause any damage or injury. But these risks have disappeared with these straps. They are long enough to connect the front wheel to the down tube on my mountain bike as well (the front wheel is much further away compared to my road bike). And a taut bungee doesn't store much energy. I highly recommend.
