So to pour liquids (especially something like oil) you need a place for air to get into the container. No air displacement, no filling. But these tops aren't treated to let air through, so the oil spills out at a rate of about a teaspoon per hour. Even if you look at the photos you can see the receiving straw but the piece with the spout is blocking it. Neither of us have a hole and we can't use any of them, so I thought it might be a defective set, but the picture here actually shows that it's a fatally flawed design! And as another reviewer said, we paid so little it's not worth returning.
