Very good 3M backing that won't peel off your car. You don't have to worry about the emblem falling off. However, you need to worry about the black and blue stripes coming off. After just a few months and a few trips to the car wash, the paint was peeling off. This was done with more than one flag emblem as they were on either side of the truck and I replaced one. All three have chipped paint. I advise against buying them if you use an automatic car wash. If you wash your car 100% by hand, you can probably avoid this problem.
