Review on Kicker 46KISLOC2 Stereo Line Output Converter by Luis Tuazon

Plugged in right, works...but not on closer inspection. The amp kept beeping. Started checking and rechecking the wire connections and found that this converter only put out a 6V signal to turn the amp on. Also, at higher dB, the signal is lost from the converter and does not reach the amplifier. This means that the higher the volume, the less signal the amplifier receives and therefore the output power is not increased at higher volumes. I switched the amplifier to 12V, turned on the amplifier, there were no problems with the protection. Feed in the signal from another 5V RCA output without loss of performance at higher volume. This has been tested/verified with a multimeter for voltage, an oscilloscope for signals, and old fashioned methods just to make sure "parts are being thrown in too".
