This is an extension, not a selfie stick, seriously. Selfie sticks have generated a lot of hate, and some of it is justified. As an amateur photographer/videographer, this is an extremely handy tool in my kit. I had never heard of this company before and only bought them by reading reviews and specs. I sat at home and prayed I wouldn't buy an extension cord that smelled like warthog paws or was made out of pasta. It was neither one nor the other. This is a pleasant pole of feelings. It has a nice weight that adds to the "not cheap" feel. The texture on the shaft is grippy but comfortable. The end cap is made of metal through which a lanyard is threaded. Actually works great. It doesn't look like a budget item either. The rod is pulled in the usual way: twist-pull-then twist to tighten. The mechanism works well and I haven't had any problems with it sagging or slipping back. I was able to sit on my Hero and G Karman with no problem. The seller's ad says it's waterproof. I can't tell you if that's true or not. I'm not wet yet. It's just long enough to throw me over people's heads or lift me low enough off the ground for a follow-up shot without killing my back, and that's perfectly satisfactory to me. I give it 5 stars, it's a quality kit at a great price. Now, if you'll excuse me, I feel like I need a shower or something.
