Review on Mitutoyo 505 732 Caliper 0 150 Accuracy by Justin Woolley

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Not what I expected.

I bought a new Revain caliper and was very disappointed. I've had many Mitutoyo calipers and mics over the years with great success and the quality has either declined or mine has failed quality control. The caliper I received was a very loose fit and even rattled a bit. I could open and close them and get different readings each time. I'm not new to calipers either, I use them a lot in my work. I wouldn't say they're bad, but the last one I bought left a lot to be desired. I will continue to use my old Brown & Sharpe Tesa calipers with complete confidence.

Pros
  • Titanium Nitride (TiN) coated sliding surface for increased wear resistance
Cons
  • Wrinkled
