I have a dell laptop which is very poorly designed, it overheats because it's not doing anything. Every time I see this machine, I wonder what kind of engineers Dell is hiring, or do they just hire people on minimum wage who have no idea what they're doing. I used some small boxes to support the car until I got this stand, it helps more because it raises the car more, at the same time since the car is higher now it's easier to look at the screen, but it's not very important for me because I use an external monitor, but if you use the laptop screen directly, this stand also helps a little. A nice stand design is that there are two sets of "legs" that prevent your computer from sliding. You can choose the one that is most suitable for your computer. If you have a very thin machine, a shorter one will do, but if your machine is thicker, you'll need longer ones. These legs look very long in the picture but they actually fit my Dell perfectly.
