Everything seemed fine at first, but then the TV started humming. I thought it was my TV, not believing it had anything to do with the modem I bought to connect my phone to using Xfinity services. I did some research to find out what it was. So I bought a new TV thinking maybe that was the problem but the buzzing continued. That's when we came to the conclusion that the modem was defective. Yes, the warranty period has expired, but we only asked for an exchange. After emailing this company, they asked if I contacted Netgear. I came back and asked why I would contact Netfear if I bought it from your company. They replied that we only have a 30-day guarantee. So I guess I don't have $90.00 left. In fact, my 85-year-old mother has no money. All of this was done to connect them to the landline as an added security aid. Many lessons were learned from this ordeal.
