My baby is wild and nothing gets his attention like Disney/Pixar cars. If he's nervous or upset about something, we can turn on children's music or cars and he'll calm down. Ideal for car trips and flights. The ear pads are small so I wouldn't rely on them to block out noise, but I don't think it matters for kids if they can listen to music through the headset. It would be uncomfortable for older children, but the fountain pen is sufficient for small children. It is very good that it has several control buttons. BT pairing is as easy as expected. The product image says 18 hours, the description (and actual product received) says 30 hours, but the instructions say up to 32 hours on a single charge. Obviously, when using the line-in, there's no need for charging (but the power isn't on, so the buttons aren't controlled). Cannot be turned on (via BT) while charging. Surprisingly, it even has a built-in microphone. More than I expected. I don't know if there actually is a decibel limit, but even if there were, I would limit the volume of the music device itself to a level that is still below safe volume.
