I was knitting a sea blanket and needed a lighter yarn to make sea creatures - fish, seahorses etc (I made sea turtles with regular yarn) but needed finer yarn for the rest. The great thing is that you get tons of colors! You won't get much, but this was perfect for me because I make a lot of little sea creatures, but the yarn is TERRIBLE. I'm not new to crochet, I've made many, many things over the years, but I've had a hard time with this yarn. If you are new to crocheting this might not be for you, I had to seriously slow down and even pull out the loops to make them again because the strands were coming apart. I gave four stars because it is advertised - lots of colors in SMALL quantities - which is what I wanted BUT the quality is lacking. At the same time, the price corresponds to the quality when it makes sense. You can't expect amazing quality at this amazing price. Overall it was perfect for what I was looking for.
