Table lamp with shade for side table. What could be bad? On the negative side, when the lamp is on a low table and a (normal) lightbulb is on, looking at the lamp from above can be awkward as the light comes from above. These lightbulbs solved that problem. They still emit bright light to the side and downwards, making them perfect for sitting around and reading, for example. However, the light does not shine, so the irritation is gone.
