Media failed to load. This is a tool for drywall beginners. I'm no pro, but I've installed enough drywall over the years that I'm not intimidated by the need to cut holes for electrical boxes or lights. Magnetic guides will likely prove to be lifesavers. These rails fit into a single socket/outlet where they snap onto the outside of the box and center themselves in the middle of the box. The drywall is then hung on the box/jar and with the drywall screwed in place another magnet on the outside of the drywall and moved until it finds the magnet in the electrical box on the other side. Now a few considerations. First, most electrical boxes are installed flush with the outside of the drywall. In order for this system to work well, it is most likely only necessary to partially tighten the dry screw. Overtightening the screws or installing too many screws before cutting the holes for the boxes will cause problems. Second, 1/8 inch spacing is possible with this system. With this system, you get a close but possibly not perfect match. Of course, when measuring holes, there is often some error. Third, they are designed for single-block switch boxes. I think they can help with doubles, triples etc but they are best for singles. Fourth, watch the video I've included to see how well they hold up in half an inch of drywall. You are doing well. I haven't tried them in 5/8" thick drywall yet.
