All-Clad will charge a restocking fee for returned defective items

I bought this pan because it was made in the USA and I was hoping that the high price meant good quality. Came with broken bottom. On my flat cooktop, it wobbled worse than a $15 saffron pan you bought second-hand. I asked for a replacement and the replacement shocked me even more! Maybe it was a bad batch. Returned by ticking "Marriage". I got a nasty surprise in the form of a $25.99 restocking fee! This pissed me off because the product page offered free returns and didn't mention a restocking fee. If they restock a defective item, they might try to sell it to you next time. Beware. They could make a lot of money by passing a broken pan from one consumer to another.
