Works 100% and is inexpensive.

I've been using this adapter since August 2021 (2 months at the time of writing) with a 2019 16" MacBook Pro and an Acer 1440p 75Hz monitor. Everything is as advertised. I don't have the display cut out or something like that. It works 100%. The off-center design is great as it doesn't block the USB-C port which is next to the port it is plugged into. I have no complaints.
