Review on Akebono ACT1363 ProACT Ultra Premium Ceramic by Quintin Boner

I bought these pads to replace heavy duty brake pads that LOOK AT 12,000 miles. I bought high performance pads when I fitted my truck with expensive new cross-bore and slotted rotors. Let me be clear, I have a 13 year old Chevy Silverado with 42,000 miles that has never been towed and has never had more than 500 pounds on its back. I don't brake too hard either. The original brakes had 30,000 miles or more. The expensive brake pads (starting with B, ending with R) were $125 worth of junk and if my recall dealer hadn't run a safety check on my truck I wouldn't have known as there was nothing to worry about. Akebonos are well made, precision made, fit well and should give me at least 30,000 miles in service. I learned the hard way, expensive means nothing. Trust Akebono.
