I don't know if this is a faulty used item but there have been some issues with my unit. There were other problems that are not related to the malfunction, but are more of a constructive nature. In my opinion, this iron is not worth the money. Pros: + The iron is heavy and has a large base that helps press fabric while ironing. + Pointed nose that allows for slightly better cornering. .+ Pressing the top button releases a lot of steam.+ The iron is made of polished stainless steel. It glided through my clothes better than my cheap non-slip iron. Cons: - Slightly shaking the iron in an upright position and with the filler cap closed will cause water to spurt out from under the platen. - The digital dial was not accurate. The LED display on the left jumped several times when turning the dial. Aside from a digital iron temperature gauge, there's no reason to have a digital controller. This is a case of building something more complex which results in more things breaking. Once or twice the cable didn't seem to be adequately connected to the iron base on the swivel connector and I wondered if there was a short. This makes me question the durability and reliability of the iron. - I don't like that the steam button is on the top of the handle. I use steam more than water spray so I find it inconvenient to use my thumb to steam and control the iron. The water spray trigger control works well. I would swap functions with buttons as in my experience I usually spray on aim and vaporize on the move. There is no cord wrap or pull tab on the plug to attach to the cord. Other: My clothes came out with no wrinkles. but they come out wrinkle free even with a $20 iron! I think $70 is probably the right price for this iron. It's just an iron. I don't think the off-white color of the cable matches the device. Black cable would be better. Also, for the price of the device, it would be nice if the lighted end of the plug warned you that it was plugged into a power source. The gas cap worked well and closed properly when closed.
