Decent Scanner - Tools & Equipment

I'm trying to get a scanner for my Ford F-150 and it seems there aren't many code scanners that do all the functions on Ford vehicles. I'm not very familiar with the many different types of scanners. With this scanner I was not able to register the product on the manufacturer's website but I was able to download the update which was basically a brand new user interface with various reset functions. None of these work on my 2004 Ford F-150 Super Crew, although I was able to enter the model and year manually. I don't think this scanner is worth the asking price!
