Review on π§ HeliCoil 5621 Thread Repair Kit: Optimal Solution for Thread Repairs by Omar Austin
Works as advertised, great addition to my tool arsenal
I ordered a Helicoil (HEL5621) Master inch coarse thread repair kit to repair a stripped threaded hole used to tighten a coupling bolt sliding component on some machines . It was a threaded hole in the steel that was uncovered several times and I re-enlarged the thread and used a larger screw. The metal was too soft for this purpose so I used a coil and everything worked fine even though it was my first time doing this. (I watched a few YouTube videos on this.) The hardened steel spool creates a line that is unlikely to ever break again. Highly recommended for anyone with a general knowledge of threading and average or above common sense.
