Decanter, unfortunately doesn't work for a number of reasons. First, the diameter of the purifier is a bit large - I had to work very hard to get it down the neck of our large carafe. It was fine when it was there, but when I removed it left chunks of frothy bristles. After it dried I was able to shake out the larger ones but I'm sure they left a dusty residue. On a positive note, they dry quickly so I don't have to worry about mold like I would with a sponkier product. I went back to buy something else to clean the carafe.
