The magnets holding it to the back of the laptop are strong and the construction is solid enough. My screen broke last week which means about 11 months of moderate use, by no means daily. Visual clarity is okay at best, it's not bright enough to match your main display and colors are pretty bland. . It does its job but it's not worth the price if the screen completely stops working here and there before 1 year of use. The included USB-C cable plugged into it when it broke, a cable that really should be around 6 inches longer, at least if you have a gaming laptop. Although I paid over $200 for the item and it ended after 11 months. I'd say I overpaid for the clarity compromises.
