My wife often has to turn the ceiling fan on and off in our bedroom at night due to temperature fluctuations. So far we have not been able to install/install any commercially available receivers in our ceiling fan casing because the casing is very small. Eventually I found this device which placed flat side down in the fan hanger when lowering the dome. Wiring was easy and the receiver fit into a small shed. With the supplied remote control, the fan can now be switched on or off without getting up. Alternatively, you can use the timer on the remote control. Eureka!
