Review on 🌊 Powerful SunSun JVP-120 Mini Aquarium Wavemaker | 793 GPH | Suction Cup Included by Angela Murphy

Maybe more than expected.

It turned out to be too strong for my 55 gallon tanks. I don't like coming home from work to see the sand being blown aside and every piece of coral being blown off the rocks. Similarly, in my planted tanks, I've found the plants to literally lie on the side of this thing. Don't worry if your jet boat outboard motor broke down. Just buy two of these and hang them on the back of the boat. I really wouldn't put that much flow in a sub-100 gallon tank. The Achilles heel of this fan is the suction cup mount. I know very well HOW it works, but too often when I get home I find it's come off the glass. Personally, I pay 5 times more and just buy Hydor with their external magnetic mount. Finally, any power surge or blackout seems to affect the polarity of the fan. Sometimes you will find that it sucks in water instead of blowing it out. It is usually reset by unplugging and reconnecting 1, 2, or 500 times in a row.

Pros
  • This is great
Cons
  • Some bugs
