Review on πŸ”Œ Sewell Sound Link: Bi-Directional Audio Extender up to 2000ft over Cat5e/Cat6, with 3.5mm & RCA Inputs/Outputs - Black by Stephen Lunn

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Works exceptionally well

I used this to send a line signal from a small amplifier behind my TV to a subwoofer at the front of the room. The problem for me was that I had to run the wire about 5 inches away from an electrical wire, and line level signals are incredibly susceptible to EMI, especially when going into a powered subwoofer. The balun allowed me to use shielded cable. Cable, run this cable into the wall, down into the basement ceiling, and then up into the wall where I wanted to place the subwoofer. Amplifier through 3.5mm, through the wall with a Cat6 cable, then from the second balun to the subwoofer with an RCA cable. I get the bass response I would expect from a variety of media types. I recommend this product to any active signal converter or any other type of line extension. Problem and the product works perfectly right out of the box but that is exactly what happened with this one. I would buy this again without hesitation.
