Great for office parties

As a professional DJ, this product is completely changing the way I throw corporate parties. Rather than installing lots of my own speakers around the office I use this unit which is great for connecting to an office installed ceiling mounted audio system saving you hours or even days compared to using your own speakers and cable. . Keep in mind that not all office paging systems are created equal, but for those who put out enough volume for a party, this device will be your best friend.

Fits subwoofer and speakers

This product allowed me to move my subwoofers to another part of my theater room where I had an unused Category 5 cable and I had a loud 60Hz hum coming from the speaker cable that was there. I also soldered the RCA connector directly to the Cat 5 cable, which didn't work either as it picked up the loud 60Hz hum. Using this product eliminated the 60Hz hum in the subwoofers and allowed me to place up to 2 subwoofers in my theater (with right/red and left/white RCA connectors) for 2 differentโ€ฆ

Works perfectly ! in Computers and Accessories

Bought cheap $10 balun pigtails and was right at their advertised limit (just under 300 feet) and they had an awful high. We found that builders ran many electrical flex cables against Category 6 harnesses, and Category 6 was unshielded. We thought we'd have to run new cables to make it work, but when we tried this product it worked great, no noise, no shielded TP and 300ft. I recommend and buy again. For reference, we are sending the audio output line from our sound system from the back of our

The REALLY Best Deal on Computers and Accessories

If you search for "Media Converters", "Baluns", "Audio Over Cat5", "Audio Over Cat6" you will find MANY cheap solutions on this site. These little things have an RJ-45 connector on one end and two short RCA connectors on the other. You are not working. You will hear the rumble of the earth, or you will hear no sound at all. But these Sewell baluns are the real deal: a transformer-style balanced audio balun. As a test I routed the connection via 5 patch panel connections and they workedโ€ฆ

This is the real deal!

OK, that's a really isolated balloon! I disassembled it just in case (see photo) and here they are: isolation transformers. You can also see in the photo that the traces are surrounded by a good ground plane with lots of vias to shield the signal. Don't confuse this product with $10 devices that plug RCA connectors directly into CAT twisted pairs. These cheaper devices don't protect your signal! These isolating transformers "float" in your audio signal so that it is no longer dependent on other

Works as advertised

**UPDATE** After fixing the issues I was having turning the sound on and off, it turned out that the problem was with the amp settings I was using on the receiving side of the signal used . I changed the settings and the sound stopped turning on and off. It just works as advertised. I also ran some signal tests and compared it to a Bluetooth audio solution (using a Qualcomm CSR8675 chipset with aptX-HD, Bluetooth 5.0). In my case, this wired solution maintained signal fidelity better than evenโ€ฆ

Works exceptionally well

I used this to send a line signal from a small amplifier behind my TV to a subwoofer at the front of the room. The problem for me was that I had to run the wire about 5 inches away from an electrical wire, and line level signals are incredibly susceptible to EMI, especially when going into a powered subwoofer. The balun allowed me to use shielded cable. Cable, run this cable into the wall, down into the basement ceiling, and then up into the wall where I wanted to place the subwoofer. Amplifier
